Youth opens fire in busy area

ANANTAPUR DEC. 30. A small incident led to a youth opening fire in a fit of emotion at the busy Sapthagiri Circle here today. However, no one was injured as he directed the revolver to the ground. According to eyewitnesses and the police, Balla Suresh Naidu (27), owner of a lodge, here, was coming to the lodge premises in his car when it hit one Chennaiah of Chiyyedu village outside the entrance. Chennaiah and his friends started thumping the car with force. Passers-by too gathered within seconds as Chennaiah shouted loudly. Suresh came out of the car in a huff and allegedly slapped Chennaiah, took out his revolver and fired one round on the ground. Splinters of the shot hit the legs of Chennaiah but no injury was caused.
