T. S. Sridhar, chairman of Electricity Board

CHENNAI DEC. 30. T.S. Sridhar, IAS, will be the new Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board.

He succeeds K. Gnanadesikan, IAS, posted Secretary, Higher Education department, and Secretary (in-charge), School Education department, vice Leena Nair, IAS, whose services are placed at the disposal of the Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation for appointment as its Managing Director, replacing S. Rajarethinam, posted as secretary, Commercial Taxes department, vice P.R. Bindhumadhavan.

R. Kannan, IAS, Commissioner and Director of Agriculture, Commissioner of Museums, and Vice-Chairman, Tamil Nadu Watershed Development Agency, has been posted Secretary, Agriculture department. He will continue to function as the Commissioner of Museums until further orders.

The services of G. Santhanam, IAS, Director of Town and Country Planning, are placed at the disposal of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, for appointment as its Member-Secretary, in the place of P.R. Sampath, IAS.
