R&B engineer trapped

HYDERABAD DEC. 30. Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested the Executive Engineer of the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department, Ch. Rama Rao, on the charge of possessing properties estimated at Rs. 21 lakhs, which were disproportionate to his known sources of income. He would be produced before the Principal Special Judge for ACB Cases, Hyderabad, a press release said.

The assets included a house in Srinagar Colony, two plots (both in Hyderabad), a flat and two acres of agricultural land in Vijayawada, a house in Guntur and a Maruti car. The properties were either in his name or that of his family members.
