1,500 doctors to attend `Arogyamela'

BANGALORE Dec. 30. The Bangalore Medical College is organising MEDEX-Arogyamela 2004 at its college premises between January 8 and 12. Around 1,500 doctors are expected to participate in this health exhibition.

The topics to be discussed are HIV/AIDS, stress, anxiety, diabetes, obesity, hypertension, cancer, depression, and suicidal tendencies.

The basic structure and functioning of the human body, adolescent health problems, and sex education have been included for children.

The exhibition will also feature blood group, blood pressure, ECG, and other checkups.

The objective of the exhibition is to spread health awareness among people.

The event is supported by the Medical Education Department, Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society, and the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
