Confirming this on Friday, the Board secretary, Mr. S. K. Nair, said Kaif's replacement would be named within a couple of days after consulting the National selectors. Kaif was injured during the recently concluded `A' teams tournament and had to miss the final league game against Pakistan `A' and the final. Kaif was included in the 16-member Indian squad as he was expected to be fit within a week. Kaif was asked to consult the renowned orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Anant Joshi, in Mumbai.
