BJP seeks white paper on development

Karnal Jan 3 . The ruling Indian National Lok Dal and its ally the BJP are fighting it out among themselves claiming credit for the development of the state of Haryana.

Just a couple of days after INLD president and the Haryana Chief Minister, Om Praksh Chuatala, took strong exception to the BJP leadership claiming credit for the development, state BJP chief Ganeshi Lal today demanded a white paper from the INLD government on the expenditure incurred by the central government on the development in the state.

He was talking to reporters before addressing a state level rally at Ghagsina village in the district.

The Chautala government's ``Sarkar aapke dwar'' programme should have been christened as ``Atal Aapke Dwar'' since all the aid for the programme was coming from the Centre, he said. Ganeshi Lal claimed that though the BJP could fight the Lok Sabha elections in the state on its own, it would, however, abide by the decision of the high command on the issue of alliance.

He said the BJP planned to recruit 20,000 members in the state, out of which 5000 would be life members. -- UNI
