Jamiat welcomes dialogue with RSS

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI JAN. 3. The Jamiat Ulema-i-Hind today described the move to hold talks between the organisation and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh as a "welcome step'' in the interest of Muslims and other minorities.

The organisation's working committee, which met here today, said as per its earlier resolutions holding a dialogue with the majority and their different organisations was the duty of not only the JUH but also every citizen of the country.

"For creating an atmosphere free from communalism, a dialogue with the RSS and other organisations is a welcome step," the Jamiat press release said.
