CHENNAI JAN. 3. Mainly dry weather prevailed over coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka.

The minimum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, fell at a few places in Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably below normal at one or two places in coastal Tamil Nadu, north interior Karnataka, below normal at a few places in south coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places in the rest of Tamil Nadu, south Kerala, south interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Telangana, above normal at one or two places in north Kerala, the rest of north interior Karnataka and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Ramagundam, Medak, Arogyavaram and Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13 degree celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (Valid until Monday morning): Isolated light rain is likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
