RBI assessment of economy

PUNE JAN. 6. The Reserve Bank of India will present tomorrow its latest assessment of the Indian economy.

The assessment would come amid euphoria generated by the news that the GDP grew 8.4 per cent during the second quarter ended September 2003. "I should be able to give the latest assessment on the outlook of the Indian economy on all aspects, including growth, inflation and policy stance tomorrow,'' the RBI Governor, Y. V. Reddy, said on the sidelines of a function hosted by National Institute of Bank Management here today. — PTI
