Record bullion futures contracts

MUMBAI JAN. 6. Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. (MCX) claims to have taken a lead in volumes and turnover in the Bullion Futures Contracts. MCX claims a share exceeding 85 per cent of the total trading volumes on all online nationwide multi commodity exchanges in the country. MCX has also introduced trading in new commodities in a phased manner. Commenting on the expanding bullion market, Jignesh Shah, Managing Director, MCX said, Indian gold fabricators and exporters are participating in a large way to hedge their market risk on MCX.'' — Our Staff Correspondent
