Rain likely in Andhra Pradesh

CHENNAI JAN. 6. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over coastal Andhra Pradesh and dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema, Telangana, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Karnataka.

Nanguneri and Ambasamudram (both Tirunelveli dt) recorded rainfall of 4 centimetres and 1 centimetre respectively.

The minimum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over interior Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, rose at a few places over coastal Karnataka, at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, Telangana, rest Tamil Nadu and changed a little elsewhere over the region.

Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (Valid until Thursday morning): Isolated light rain is likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, south coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Kerala. Mainly dry weather will prevail over north Kerala, Lakshadweep, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Telangana and Karnataka.
