RPI meet to discuss third front
GULBARGA
Jan. 6.
The two-day South India convention of the Republican Party of India (RPI), with the discussion focusing on the need to form a third front of secular forces as an alternative to the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party at the national level, will be held in Bangalore from January 31.
Making the announcement to presspersons here, the President of the State unit of party, M. Venkataswami, said that all factions of the RPI, including those headed by Prakash Ambedkar, R.S. Gavai, and Kawade, would be invited to participate in the convention. Moves would be initiated to merge all the factions of the RPI, he added.
He said that all Dalit organisations and secular political parties would be invited to participate in the convention to give a new direction to the efforts to form the third front.
