Students observe bandh

ANANTAPUR JAN. 6. A bandh was observed on the campus of Sri Krishnadevaraya University here on Tuesday on a call given by all student unions, alleging discrimination against students in the name of caste by the Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar. The police arrested 10 students when they were staging rasta roko on the campus.

In the morning, student union leaders went round the campus to enforce closure of various departments and the administrative block. They alleged irregularities in the filling of 32 teaching assistants posts in various departments.
