College anniversary celebrations inaugurated

Bangalore Jan. 6. The 10th anniversary of Garden City College began here on Tuesday with the Governor, T.N. Chaturvedi, inaugurating the new auditorium.

The Governor expressed happiness at the college having an ultra-modern library. Students had a social obligation being exposed to one of the best educational institutions, he said.

The Minister for Social Welfare, A. Krishnappa, said the State Government was close to realising the dream of making Karnataka a 100-per cent literate State.

Trygve Hoppner, Managing Director of TUV Rheinland, Germany, handed the ISO 9001:2000 certification to the college Chairman, V.G. Joseph.
