Briefing newspersons on the address of Ms.Raje, the vice- president of the State Bharatiya Janata Party, Onkar Singh Lakhawat, said the Government had chosen 61 priority areas for its 100- day performance deadline. This included exploitation of the oil and natural reserves in the State and setting up of a drought relief fund. Ms.Raje talked about setting up a fund on medical assistance for farmers. The agriculture insurance scheme would be implemented in the State effectively, she said. The Chief Minister said the Government expected to come out of the energy crisis soon and was hopeful of providing adequate power to the State's farmers. Efforts were on for repairing the three power units presently lying closed, she said. She also mentioned the positive response she received from the Centre on the long- pending demand for citizenship to the displaced persons from Pakistan, now living in the State. The Government's priority list included drinking water and arrangements were being made to carry out the repair of hand-pumps within two days after receiving complaints from the public, it was said.
