HDFC Bank Q3 net up

MUMBAI, JAN. 9. HDFC Bank has posted a 31.8 per cent rise in net profit at Rs. 130.36 crores for the third quarter ended December 31, 2003 against Rs. 98.88 crores in the same period in the previous year.

Total income increased to Rs. 779.39 crores from Rs. 640.80 crores, says a bank release.

For the nine months ended December, the net profit and total income rose to Rs. 354.78 crores (Rs. 270.98 crores) and Rs. 2,212.60 crores (Rs. 1,802.52 crores) respectively. — PTI
