BELLARY, JAN. 9. Basavaraj Patil Sedam, former President of the State unit of the BJP, has said that the multi-crore stamp paper scam may spell the doom to the State Government. Speaking to presspersons here today, he said: "Had the Government initiated action against the persons who were involved in the case, it would have brought it some credit." He said the BJP would make the case a major election issue. Mr. Sedam complimented Jayanth Tinekar of Khanapur for exposing the scam. To a question, he said the BJP was ready to face the elections to the Assembly any time. As far as the Lok Sabha elections were concerned, it was for the national executive of the party to decide.
