Final list of electoral rolls by January 20

HYDERABAD, JAN. 9. Verification of voters in the residual list and names in the fresh applications received under the summary revision has reached the final stage in almost all districts. With this, the ground has been prepared for scrutiny by eight members of the Election Commission from tomorrow as a prelude to final approval.

Going by the tempo, the State election authorities are confident and even firm that they can publish the final list of electoral rolls with the latest inclusions and deletions on January 20 as scheduled. The Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Lav Agarwal, when reporters met him on Friday for an update of the situation, asserted that they would furnish two sets of the copy of the electoral rolls to each recognised political party on January 20.
