HYDERABAD, JAN. 9. Twenty-seven teams will take part in the all-India inter-University archery championship for 2003-2004 for men and women, which is to be hosted by the Osmania University from January 10 to 13. The competitions will be held in Indian round over 50m and 30m for men and women (on Jan 10) and FITA round over 90m, 70m, 50m and 30m for men and 70m, 60m, 50m and 30m for women (Jan 11). The Olympic round eliminations will be held on January 12 and the Olympic round final on January 13. One of the star attractions of the meet will be international Dola Banerjee who has won several medals at the international level and will be representing Calcutta University. The team: FITA round: B. Madhukar (MBA - OU), Md. Mujtaba Ali (Anwar-Ul-Uloom), Syed Shareefuddin (OU Arts) and V. Premkanth (Giriraj). Indian round: Men: B. Madhukar (MBA-OU); V. Premkanth and Ganga Raju (Giriraj), Muzeem (OU Arts), and Santosh Kumat (Nizam); Women: Swapna (Vanitha DC). Coach: Ravi Shankar. Manager: Pochetty.
