India to showcase expertise at IT summit

HYDERABAD, JAN. 9. India will use the forthcoming second Asia IT Minister's Summit to be held in Hyderabad on January 12 and 13 to showcase its expertise in Information Technology (IT) and explore collaboration and partnership with other Asian countries in this area.

Speaking to newsmen here on Friday, S. Lakshminarayanan, Additional Secretary, Department of IT, Government of India, said that India's $ 100 million line of credit to Mauritius to set up its IT centre would become operational soon with the signing of an agreement for India to become controller of certifying authority for Mauritius during the Summit.
