NAAC assessment: 16 Government colleges identified

HYDERABAD, JAN. 9. The Department of Collegiate Education has identified 16 Government Degree Colleges to go in for assessment by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

This follows a plan of action prepared by the department to encourage Government Degree Colleges to go for NAAC assessment in phases at the instance of the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, as a measure of quality assurance. The department has been actively preparing these colleges since last year for the exercise.

The Government Degree College for Women, Begumpet, and the Government Degree College, Nalgonda, are among those which have been assessed.
