Haj pilgrim dies in accident

DUBAI, JAN. 10. A Haj woman pilgrim from India, injured in an accident on Thursday, died of injuries in Saudi Arabia's holy city of Madinah, Arab News reported.

Five people, including the deceased Tasmin, were hit by a taxi, said Hifzur Rahman, Indian Embassy Consul (press and information). Tasmin (45) from Uttaranchal and another man were admitted to hospital, while the rest were allowed to go after first aid. Tasmin died on Friday but the other man is recovering. — UNI
