CHENNAI, JAN. 10. Title holder Viswanathan Anand started his campaign with a draw with the black pieces against Peter Leko of Hungary in the opening round of the Corus chess tournament in Wijk aan Zee in The Netherlands on Saturday. Anand and Leko shared the point with a well-fought theoretical line after a little more than two and a half hours of play in a game lasting 23 moves. Twelve rounds remain to be played in this Category-19 tournament. In the opening ceremony on Friday, there was good news for the chess world from the sponsors when they guaranteed the tournament until 2010.
