SRIKAKULAM, JAN. 10. As a part of revision of voters' lists in the four Assembly constituencies in Srikakulam revenue division 76,166 names, identified as ineligible, have been removed. In Amadalavalasa constituency 26,641, in Narsannapeta 19,171, in Srikakulam 13,398 and in Etcherla 16,970 voters have been removed, according to the Revenue Divisional Officer, P.M.J. Babu. In the entire division 45,433 applications for inclusion in the voters' lists have been received. After scrutiny, 16,265 were found eligible and included in the lists. Verification of school admission registers and whether villagers were actually living there was also done for inclusion/retention in the list. On the other hand, the names of the dead, those who had migrated and the ineligible were removed. The RDO, S. Venkata Rao, has said 66,646 names have been removed from the voters' lists in Tekkali revenue division till January 8. In Ichhapuram Assembly constituency 15,732, Sompeta 16,578, Tekkali 19,244 and Harischandrapuram 15,312 names were removed. Of the 42,647 applications received for inclusion in voters' lists in the division, 25,870 have been rejected and 16,777 included. Constituency-wise the following are the number of applications received with rejections in paranthesis: Ichhapuram: 10,937 (6,512); Sompeta: 12,318 (8,083); Tekkali: 10,112 (5,723) and Harischandrapuram: 9,280 (5,552).
