VISAKHAPATNAM, JAN. 10. The Congress will consult partymen from the mandal to the Pradesh Election Committee (PEC) level before choosing its candidates for the coming elections. Informing this to reporters here on Saturday, the All-India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary and party observer for the elections in the State, V. Narayanaswami, said that the PEC would forward its views to the Central Election Committee. He said that the party would be guided by the winning chances in the selection of the candidates. All leaders would be taken into confidence and the Congress Working Committee would ultimately decide, he said. The Visakhapatnam Zilla Parishad Chairperson, V. Kanthamma, the Bobbili MP, B. Satyanarayana, the former MP, Konathala Ramakrishna, and the former MLA, Pasupuleti Balaraju, were also present.
