HYDERABAD, JAN.10. The first phase of the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) set up at the Minister Road in Secunderabad would be inaugurated here on Sunday. Addressing presspersons here on Saturday, chairman and managing director, B. Krishnaiah, said the first phase of the hospital with a bed strength of 150 was completed in a record time of nine months at a cost of Rs. 60 crores. Additional facility of 350 beds in the second phase was being readied at a cost of Rs. 120 crores, he said. The facility to be inaugurated tomorrow provide cardiac services, renal, gastroenterology, surgical gastroenterology, neurosciences, orthopaedics and trauma services apart from obstetrics and gynaecology, pediatrics and neonatology. The medical teams put together has several renowned doctors with rich expertise, Mr. Krishnaiah said. Affordable healthcare with special tariffs to cater all sections of the society were promised by the institute.
