BANGALORE, JAN. 10. The Vigilance wing of BESCOM raided a unit in an industrial estate in Rajajinagar and discovered that it was illegally using an instrument to regulate the meter so that it would show less consumption of power. A case of meter tampering and power theft has been registered. The son of the prime accused in the power theft was arrested and produced in a city court. The loss of revenue to BESCOM has been assessed at Rs. 12 lakh.
