BANGALORE, JAN. 10. A delegation, led by the Mayor of the Thane Municipal Corporation in Maharashtra, Sharada Pramod Raut, visited the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) on Friday to study the various development programmes taken up in the city. Ms. Sharada Raut showed keen interest in the BMP's Solid Waste Management (SWM) and Women and Child Development programmes, stated a press release here. The delegation comprising 32 women corporators met the BMP Commissioner, M.R. Sreenivas Murthy, and the Mayor, P.R. Ramesh. They appreciated the civic body's efforts in maintaining the parks and roads. The members also visited the Karnataka Compost Development Corporation plant at Bommanahalli, the release added.
