CHIKMAGALUR, JAN. 11. The tourism potential of Chikmagalur district needs to be exploited, B.S. Patil, Chief Secretary to the Government of Karnataka, has said. Speaking after inaugurating a club house of the Chikmagalur Golf Club on the outskirts of the city here on Saturday, he said the golf course would go a long way in increasing the number of tourists visiting the district. sK.N. Shanth Kumar, member of the Indian Golf Union, who inaugurated the members' lounge, said the club should popularise golf among children. Pop Kumar, General Manager of The Taj West End, Bangalore, assured his support for the development of the club.
