Traders taken for a ride

VISAKHAPATNAM JAN. 11. Two traders in Poorna Market were allegedly cheated by a three-member group claiming to be from Rajasthan.

According to a complaint registered with the police, the three members, including a woman, approached the traders claiming to be in possession of gold coins unearthed in their house at their native place in Rajasthan. The two traders were reportedly taken in by a few genuine gold coins shown to them. The one kg of coins they purchased turned out to be fake.

Boy run over: A 10-year-old boy, Satish, was run over of by a garbage van at Arilova on the city outskirts on Sunday.

The boy was studying in third standard. Three Town Police have registered a case.

Arrested: The crime wing of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in Visakhapatnam Steel Plant on Sunday arrested two persons and recovered stolen property from them.

According to the CISF, the two were nabbed while trying to steal aluminium sheets worth about Rs. 25,000. They were handed over to Kurmannapalem police.
