THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, JAN. 11. International and national experts are to attend the two national seminars to be organised in connection with the 34th Flower, Fruit and Vegetable Show that gets under way on the Kanakakunnu palace premises in the city on January 23. The seminars to be held at the Museum auditorium on January 31 will be on the `Opportunities in Horticulture' and `The role of fruits and vegetables in health sector'. The Agriculture Minister, K.R. Gouri, is to inaugurate the first seminar at 9-30 a.m. and the Speaker, Vakkom B. Purushothaman, the second seminar at 1-30 p.m. About 125 delegates from various States will attend the seminar. The seminars are being organised with the assistance of the Apeda, the Health and Nutrition Institute and the National Horticulture Board. Dr. Indira Chakravarthy, Head of the Nutrition Wing of the Health and Nutrition Institute, is the technical advisor.
