By Our Staff Reporter

MADURAI, JAN. 12 . One of the major requests of customers is the provision of electronic air gauge facility at petrol retail outlets, said V. Subramanian, Senior Divisional Manager, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Madurai.

He was speaking after inaugurating an Internet browsing centre at the IOC retail outlet at Pazhanganatham on Sunday.

He said the IOC had received over 1,300 letters from its customers, seeking various facilities at the retail outlets. Over half of the letters had been scrutinised, and steps taken in many cases.

About the browsing centre, Mr. Subramanian said the Pazhanganatham outlet was the first of its kind, among the IOC outlets, in the city to have this facility, and many other facilities would soon be introduced here .

Mr. Subramanian said all IOC outlets in the city now had the electronic air gauge facility, and works were under way to install them in rural areas too.

The Principal District and Sessions Judge, S. Sivaprakasam, lighted the Kuttuvilakku to mark the occasion.
