Special buses for `jallikattu'

MADURAI, JAN. 12 . The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (Madurai Division-I) will operate special buses this week.

On January 13, special buses will be operated between Tirupparankunram and the Periyar bus stand in view of the visit of Mata Amritanandamayi to the city. On January 16, 15 buses will be operated from the Periyar bus stand, Chathrapatti, Vadipatti and Alanganallur in view of the `jallikattu' to be held at Palamedu.

On January 17, 30 buses will be operated from the Mattuthavani bus stand, the Periyar bus stand, Vadipatti, Chathrapatti, Senthamangalam and Palamedu for the `jallikattu' to be held at Alanganallur. Special buses will also be operated from Melur to Alanganallur and Palamedu through Alagarkoil, according to the Managing Director, K. Ramesh.
