NELLORE, JAN. 13. A three-day mega free health camp will be held at Swarna Bharat Trust compound in Venkatachalam Satram mandal of Nellore district from January 17. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, the district Collector, G. Anantha Ramu, said that the camp was a part of the Central Government's decision to hold `arogya melas' in all parliamentary constituencies. At the Venkatachalam camp, over 100 doctors would examine patients. Senior citizens would be treated at special counters. Doctors from Narayana Medical College, Nellore, Medwin, Global Hospitals and Kamineni in Hyderabad would take part in the programme. A mobile cancer detection unit, belonging to Nandamuri Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital, Hyderabad, would also be available at the camp, the Collector said.
