Jindal Stainless pact with Nisshin

NEW DELHI, JAN. 13. Jindal Stainless today entered into a technical alliance with Nisshin Steel of Japan, an arrangement intended to help the company consolidate its position in the high value steel segment. Announcing the deal, N. C. Mathur, Director Corporate and International Marketing, Jindal Stainless, denied reports about Nisshin picking up stake in Jindal arguing that the arrangement was purely technical in nature. Jindal will pay Nisshin around Rs. 16-18 crores to access Nisshin's technology under the two-year contract ending in 2005.
