CHENNAI: Global Brand Marketing Inc., (GBMI), makers of fashion footwear and apparel, will set up its global outsourcing centres in Chennai. The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GBMI, Killick Sudeepto Datta, said the company had zeroed in on a couple manufacturers in Tamil Nadu for possible alliance to make shoes for GBMI. The two outsourcing units would cater to Diesel and Nautica brands. GBMI would provide technical support and fashion design to the manufacturers. The company would set up its wholesale distribution and retail stores across the country. Mr. Datta said the company at present outsourced footwear and apparel from China, Taiwan, Macao, Korea, Vietnam and Italy.
