Tata Power to transfer broadband division

CHENNAI: Tata Power has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that a meeting of the board ofs directors of the company is proposed to be held on January 20 to consider the transfer of its broadband division which comprises the business in relation to provision of dark fibre and ducts in its capacity as infrastructure provider category 1, provision of end-to-end bandwidth in its capacity as infrastructure provider category 2, and provision of Internet telephony services in its capacity as an Internet services provider, to Tata Power Broadband Company Pvt Ltd by way of a business transfer agreement.
