Mulayam gesture to teachers
LUCKNOW,
JAN. 13.
The Samajwadi Party-led Uttar Pradesh Government today entered the poll mode by announcing relaxation in the age of teachers in the State from 60 to 62 years and also paving the way for job opportunities to over 46,000 youths in primary education.
The Chief Minister, Mulayam Singh Yadav, said here after a Cabinet meeting that the Government had decided to increase the retirement age of teachers in the government-aided and government-run educational institutions.
The Cabinet has also decided to provide 46,189 government jobs for B.Ed. passed unemployed youths. After initial six months' training, the selected youths would absorbed in government service, the Chief Minister said.
