Not in good taste

Sir, — The opposition of the people of Madurantakam town, Tamil Nadu, to the supply of drinking water to Chennai is not in good taste.

If the people of the same State are against supplying water to one another, how can we expect Karnataka to share Cauvery waters with Tamil Nadu?

The decision of parties other than the ruling party to support an agitation by the residents of the town is highly condemnable.

K. Srinivasan,
Kalpakkam, T.N.
