<150> CHENNAI JAN. 14. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. The minimum temperatures fell appreciably at one or two places over interior Karnataka, north interior Tamil Nadu, rose at one or two places over north Kerala, south coastal Tamil Nadu, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere over the region. They were markedly below normal at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, appreciably below normal at one or two places over Andhra Pradesh, coastal and south interior Karnataka, south Kerala, north Tamil Nadu, below normal at a few places over the rest of coastal Karnataka, the rest of north interior Karnataka, at one or two places over the rest of Andhra Pradesh, the rest of north Tamil Nadu, above normal at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Gulbarga recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 10 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

WEATHER FORECAST (Valid until Friday morning): Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
