Rail traffic restored

By Our Staff Reporter

KOCHI, JAN. 14. The rail traffic between Alappuzha and Ernakulam was restored by 10 a.m. today.

Train movement on this coastal route was hit following the derailment of 13 tanker wagons on Tuesday afternoon. Many railway employees worked overnight to replace the mangled tracks near Kumbalam.

The Railway has ordered a high-level inquiry into the accident.

The investigations will begin tomorrow and completed in ten days.
