Letters to the Editor
Sir, This refers to the article, `Pakistan's nuclear deals' (Jan. 13). The transfer of knowhow on production of weapons grade nuclear materials from Pakistan to North Korea, Iran and Libya questions the sincerity of its claims to being a responsible nuclear power. The global community should take serious note of such incidents.
Ajith Kolassery,
* * * Sir, There can hardly be any doubt that a liberal visa regime must be adopted by India and Pakistan for the improvement of their relations. The best way is to provide visas on arrival. If that is not possible, the applicants may be allowed to submit their passports and visa applications by post.
Ayesha Saeed,
* * * Sir, The article, `Cracking India's two-front problem' by C. Raja Mohan is a lucid presentation of the historical facts of the past 55 years. An optimistic view was expressed in the call given by the Prime Minister for serious negotiations with Pakistan even if it demanded a change in our stated positions of the past.
K.M. Lakshmana Rao,
