HYDERABAD, JAN. 17. The Telugu Desam Party politburo, which met here on Saturday under the chairmanship of N. Chandrababu Naidu, decided to prepare a code of conduct for the party to reduce the influence of money in the elections and also to prevent criminalisation of politics. Discussing the current political scenario and the extent the two factors had afflicted the conduct of other political parties, politburo members felt that the party should keep itself away from the practices. The TDP's clean image should be maintained at any cost, they said. The party would welcome suggestions from district units in preparing its manifesto to accommodate the aspirations of all sections. The district units would be asked to send the inputs at the earliest, it was learnt. The party decided to hold a praja sadassu in Anantapur on January 28 and hold its flag festival (Janda Panduga) from February 9 to 15. This year the event would be held `booth-wise' unlike in the past when the party held the festival village-wise.
