The ninth flower show, jointly organised by the local grama panchayat, the Agri-Horticulture Society and the Merchants' Association in Kozhencherry, will be held at the panchayat stadium from January 26 to February 1. In a statement issued here today, the Kozhencherry panchayat president, Victor T. Thomas, said that the flower show would begin with a colourful rally in Kozhencherry town. The exhibition of flowers, fruits and vegetables, and that of agriculture produce, would be held at two separate venues named as Mrs. K. M. Mathew Nagar and K. P. Kesava Menon Nagar, Mr. Victor said. He said that cultural programmes had been organised through out the week-long flower show. A seminar on traditional Kerala architecture would be held on January 30 with the cooperation of the Vasthu Vidya Gurukulam at Aranmula. The noted traditional architect, Kanipayoor Krishnan Nampoothiripad, and the Gurukulam executive director, P. N. Suresh, will lead the seminar. A fashion show will also be organised as part of the week-long flower show, said Mr. Victor.
