MALERKOTLA (SANGRUR), JAN 17 . The Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh today said that an expansion of his about two-year-old ministry was on the anvil and it could be effected sometime next week. Talking to reporters after paying tributes to 66 Sikh martyrs here, Singh said the expansion and reshuffle of portfolios of ministers would be done with the prior approval of Sonia Gandhi, he said. The Council of Ministers headed by Singh has 17 Cabinet rank and nine ministers of state in the 117 member state Assembly. Earlier paying tributes to the martyrs at the Shaheedi Smarak, Singh called upon the younger generation to draw inspiration and imbibe the spirit of patriotism and nationalism among themselves.
