NAGERCOIL, JAN.17. Two persons, including a teenager, were knocked to death in a head-on collision involving their motorbike and a tipper lorry at Marthandam bordering Kerala in Kanyakumari district today. According to the police, G. Sino (21), of Vanilaicode, and his friend, Vijayakumar (17), of the Sri Lankan refugee camp at Palavilai, were going to Marthandam from Kaliakkavilai the bike when the mishap occurred. The lorry coming from the opposite direction hit the bike at Marthandam. While Sino died on the spot, Vijayakumar succumbed to his injuries on admission to a private hospital. A hunt is on to trace the driver.
