Residents oppose setting up of slaughterhouse

MYSORE, JAN. 17. The residents of R.S. Naidunagar here staged a demonstration in front of the Mysore City Corporation office on Saturday in protest against the proposal to establish a slaughterhouse in their area.

The residents, who formed a forum to oppose the proposed project, shouted slogans against the corporation. The activists later submitted a memorandum to the corporation authorities, urging them to rescind the permission issued to set up the slaughterhouse in a residential area.
