By Our Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI,
JAN. 17.
The former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, Ajit Jogi, accused in the cash-for-MLAs case, was grilled by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) here today for about four hours.
CBI sources said that Mr. Jogi denied all allegations relating to the controversy, but admitted to having written the letter to the Governor offering support. He cooperated with the investigators and answered all the questions, they added.
His fingerprints, telephonic voice sample and a sample of handwriting were taken.
Mr. Jogi later said that he answered all questions and told the agency that entire tape controversy was false. The first information report in the case also named his son, Amit Jogi, and the BJP MP from Chhattisgarh, P.R. Khunte, as accused.
