Dry weather in south

CHENNAI, JAN. 17. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

The minimum temperatures fell markedly at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, fell appreciably at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, fell at one or two places over Kerala, rest Andhra Pradesh, rose at one or two places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably below normal at many places over Tamil Nadu and south Kerala, below normal at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu, coastal and north interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Arogyavaram recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 12 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (Valid until Monday morning): Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
