PONDICHERRY, JAN. 17. A batch of 50 National Service Scheme volunteers, attached to the Petit Seminaire Higher Secondary School in Pondicherry, is now undergoing multi-disciplinary programmes at a special camp at Kurukumedu in Embalam Assembly constituency. The ten-day camp, which began last week, has been designed to enable students to know about the living conditions of the people. The State NSS officer, E.M. Rajan, the school principal, Fr. Antonysamy, the vice-principal, Antonyraj, and the NSS programme officer in the school, T.A.J. Edmond, explained the programmes and purpose of the camp. Members of the Sky Meditation Centre at Lawspet offered training to the volunteers in meditation.
